Hydrotherapy
The 25 metre IASIS hydrotherapy pool is the most popular form of therapy used by people with physical conditions and others who have particular therapeutic needs.
The pool is heated up to an optimum degree to aid a variety of physical conditions from neurological problems to spasticity. The buoyancy of the water reduces stress on the joints, helps strengthen the muscles and improves circulation. The pool is also equipped with special aids that help the mobility and independence of its users. A special non-slip ramp helps people gently go down the shallow side of the pool while a special chair helps people with less mobility to be lowered down in the water without any effort.
Aquarobic classes, Back School and general conditioning classes for the elderly are available in the hydrotherapy pool. Numerous conditions benefit from Hydrotherapy which include:
Back injury
Joint injuries
Lower limb injuries
Weight control
Neurological problems
Post surgery
Sports Injuries
Circulation Problems
